Sike Glas

Sile Glas is an assistant professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics at University of Twente, where she is currently working on model reduction on manifolds in the MaST group lead by Hans Zwart. Before coming to Enschede, She was a postdoctoral researcher at Cornell University working with David Bindel on stellarator optimization in the Simons Collaboration on Hidden Symmetries and Fusion Energy. She did her PhD at the Institute of Numerical Mathematics at Ulm University with Karsten Urban.

Felix Schwenninger

Associate Professor (since 2022) and chair of research group “Mathematics of Systems Theory (MAST)” at the Department of Applied Mathematics, University of Twente, (since 2025). In the Winter Term 2018/19 he was deputy professor at the University of Wuppertal (GER). His research covers both pure and applied mathematics, ranging from functional analysis to control of infinite-dimensional systems and partial differential equations, linked by operator theory. He was the main organizer of the annual International Workshop on Operator Theory and its Applications (IWOTA) at the University of Twente in 2025. He previously served as Associate Editor for “Optimal Control Applications and Methods”.
